Tuglirijavut Student Employment Program

Program Overview The Government of Nunavut is hiring eligible students year‑round through its new Tuglirijavut Student Employment Program. Eligible students can be considered for employment or training opportunities while earning a competitive salary. The program is open to Inuit and non‑Inuit students, including recent graduates, who are eager to practice and strengthen their skills and explore career paths within the public service. Eligibility Criteria Completed grade 10 or 11 and enrolled in a full‑time high‑school program for the following term/semester; or Graduated from high school in the previous semester; or Enrolled or accepted in a post‑secondary program with a recognized Canadian college, university, or institute for the previous or following term/semester; or Completed or graduated from a post‑secondary program in the current academic year. Non‑Inuit students must: Currently reside in Nunavut or have resided in Nunavut before becoming a full‑time high‑school or post‑secondary student at a recognized Canadian educational institution outside of Nunavut. Have a valid Nunavut health care card. Not be eligible for financial assistance from another province or territory. After submitting online, you must send separate documents proving eligibility (high‑school transcript or diploma, proof of post‑secondary enrolment or graduation, Nunavut health card) to the Tuglirijavut Coordinator at . Priority will be given to Nunavut Inuit students who self‑identify as being enrolled under the Nunavut Agreement in accordance with the Priority Hiring Policy. Some positions may require a criminal record check; possession of a criminal record is not an automatic disqualification. Applicants who have foreign post‑secondary credentials must have those credentials assessed through a recognized Canadian institution.
