We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Investor Relations to lead our fundraising initiatives, manage our equity crowdfunding campaigns, and secure $20M+ annually to fuel our ambitious growth plans. This role offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of global Islamic fintech, working closely with our leadership team to scale Musaffa's impact.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising Leadership :

  • Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies, including crowdfunding, venture capital rounds (Seed, Series A/B/C), and other capital market activities to raise $20M+ annually.
  • Build and nurture relationships with venture capitalists, private equity firms, family offices, and institutional investors.
  • Lead investor roadshows, pitches, and meetings to secure capital, showcasing Musaffa's vision and growth potential.
  • Proven Fundraising Expertise : Candidates must have a demonstrated track record of raising at least $10M+ annually through various capital fundraising methods.

Equity Crowdfunding Management :

  • Spearhead equity crowdfunding campaigns, managing every stage from planning and execution to post-campaign reporting.
  • Drive investor engagement and conversions while ensuring compliance with platform and regulatory guidelines.

Investor Relations Strategy :

  • Develop a structured investor relations program, providing timely updates, financial reports, and strategic insights to investors.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with investors, ensuring continued trust and post-funding support.

Collaboration and Leadership :

  • Lead and mentor a team of 10+ professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Work closely with the CEO, CFO, and other teams (finance, legal, marketing) to align investor relations strategies with organizational goals.

Market and Industry Intelligence :

  • Stay updated on industry trends, challenges, and opportunities, providing actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Analyze investor feedback, market data, and deal terms to refine fundraising strategies.

Compliance and Risk Management :

  • Ensure compliance with securities regulations, investor disclosures, and all legal requirements in fundraising activities.

Additional Requirements

Proven Experience in Fundraising and Capital Markets :

  • A demonstrated track record of successfully raising capital through crowdfunding and various rounds (Seed, Series A/B/C, IPOs) – minimum 10 years.

Strong Network in the Investment Community :

  • Established relationships with venture capitalists, private equity firms, family offices, and institutional investors.

Financial Acumen :

  • Expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and capital structure optimization – must provide specific examples.

Strategic Communication Skills :

  • Exceptional ability to craft and deliver pitches, investor presentations, and business narratives – proven with examples.

Deep Understanding of the Industry :

  • Familiarity with Musaffa's industry, including trends, challenges, and key players – proven with examples.

Leadership and Team Collaboration :

  • Ability to lead a team of 10+ professionals and work collaboratively with executives, finance, legal, and marketing teams.

Compliance and Legal Knowledge :

  • Awareness of securities regulations, investor disclosures, and compliance requirements.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills :

  • Proficiency in analyzing market data, investor feedback, and deal terms.

Resilience and Adaptability :

  • Ability to handle rejection, adapt strategies, and persist through challenging fundraising climates.

Track Record of Building Long-Term Investor Relationships :

  • Experience in maintaining investor relations post-funding to ensure continued trust and support – minimum 5 years.

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 CAD per annum
  • Performance-Based Bonus: Based on individual performance metrics and achievements
  • Equity: Eligible for Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) after 6 months , with additional equity for exceptional candidates
