Votre Nouveau Rôle


En tant que Gestionnaire de Scierie, vous superviserez toutes les opérations de la scierie, y compris la planification de la production, l’optimisation des processus et l’allocation des ressources. Vous gérerez la scierie et les opérations de la cour, dirigeant une équipe de 50 employés. Votre rôle consistera à superviser, encadrer et développer 8 à 10 subordonnés directs, en favorisant une culture de sécurité, d’efficacité et d’amélioration continue. Vous veillerez à la conformité aux règlements de sécurité, superviserez les processus de contrôle de la qualité, coordonnerez la maintenance des équipements, gérerez le P&L de la scierie et préparerez des rapports de performance réguliers. De plus, vous intégrerez la technologie dans les opérations et vous concentrerez sur l’atteinte des objectifs de production, l’amélioration de la qualité et le développement des membres de l’équipe. 100% bilingue.

  • Diplôme universitaire en foresterie, en ingénierie, en administration des affaires ou dans un domaine connexe.
  • 7 à 10 ans d’expérience en leadership dans les opérations de scierie ou dans une industrie connexe.
  • Compétences solides en leadership et en gestion d’équipe.
  • Excellente compréhension des processus, des équipements et des règlements de sécurité des scieries.
  • Capacité prouvée à gérer les budgets et à optimiser les coûts opérationnels.
  • Compétences solides en résolution de problèmes et attention aux détails.
  • Excellentes compétences en communication et en relations interpersonnelles.
  • Capacité à comprendre et à tirer parti de la technologie dans les opérations.

Your New Company

Join our client, a leading name in the lumber industry, at their state-of-the-art sawmill facility. They are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality while ensuring efficient and productive operations.


Your New Role


As the Sawmill Manager, you will oversee all operations at the sawmill, including production planning, process optimization, and resource allocation. You will manage the planer mill and yard operations, leading a team of 50 employees. Your role will involve supervising, mentoring, and developing 8-10 direct reports, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement. You will ensure compliance with safety regulations, oversee quality control processes, coordinate equipment maintenance, manage the sawmill’s P&L, and prepare regular performance reports. Additionally, you will integrate technology into operations and focus on achieving production targets, improving quality, and developing team members.


What You Need to Succeed in This Role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 100% bilingual - French and English
  • 7-10 years of leadership experience in sawmill operations or a related industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent understanding of sawmill processes, equipment, and safety regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and optimize operational costs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand and leverage technology in operations.
