On behalf of our global consulting client we are looking for a Sales Director in the Toronto area:

The main purpose of the Regional Sales Director (Leader) role is to drive business development and marketing strategies to achieve growth objectives. Here's a breakdown of the role and responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership : Develop sector/region-specific strategies aligned with industry best practices to generate revenue and build sustainable sales pipelines.
  • Team Leadership : Build and lead a high-performing Business Development team, ensuring they meet sales targets and contribute to the growth and direction of the Business Unit.
  • Business Development Process : Embed the companies business development process, define and communicate the value proposition internally and externally, and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Customer Advisory Role : Act as a trusted advisor for customers, employing a consultative selling approach to understand their challenges and opportunities, and tailor solutions accordingly.
  • Deal Management : Ensure deals meet sales, revenue, and profitability objectives while aligning with overall strategy and goals.
  • Partnership Building : Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with other businesses to position as a go-to partner that continually adds value.
  • Stakeholder Management : Negotiate and manage relationships with senior stakeholders, refining proposals to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Brand Ambassadorship : Promote the company externally, embodying its unique culture, values, and behaviors.
  • Team Collaboration : Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and industry partners to maximize cross-selling opportunities.
  • People Development : Manage, coach, and develop team members, focusing on performance management and career development.

In terms of requirements, essential qualifications include:

  • Experience developing Business Development strategies in the technology industry, particularly with SaaS services.
  • Experience working with the Government and Public sectors.
  • Expertise in business development processes, deal commercials, and meeting sales targets.
  • Broad technology experience and awareness of industry trends.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to resolve conflicts.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, mentor, and coach team members.

Overall, the role requires a blend of strategic thinking, leadership, business acumen, and interpersonal skills to drive business growth effectively
