Production Planner

By means of the available tools (Order book, inventory level, sales history, etc.), prepares the production schedule in order to meet the sales needs while maintaining the optimal inventory level for the season;
Generates the needs for raw materials and packing components according to the production schedule and supports the Purchasing Agents in maintaining the optimal inventory level;
Proceeds to cyclic counts on raw materials and packaging;
Is able to ensure a production sequence in order to improve the efficiency percentage and reduce downtime;
Participates in the elaboration of production standards by product; by machine;
Cooperates with the Engineering Department in order to properly plan preventive maintenance without interfering with customer service requests;
Participates in various operation meetings;
May have to do various analysis reports (stock turnover, machine/performance, scrap factor, time waste, etc.);
Responsible to monitor and evaluate raw materials, manpower planning, production recording and follow up;
Production planning according to capacity and 100% capacity utilization in minimum cost;
Setting the production targets and archives on time;
Update production planning time to time according to the current situation;
Work to implement planning and reduce plan vs actual gap;
Distribute production planning to all related production staff and meetings to implement planning;
Monitor daily production; make daily production report and tracking section wise production;
Closely monitoring all pre-production activities and priority-based work progressing;
Implement production planning and update time to time;
Does any other related tasks.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in operations management or other related discipline.
Planning certificate.
5 to 7 years of experience in production planning in a manufacturing environment.
Analytical capacity and synthesizing mind
Capacity to challenge situation or people and to work under pressure
Sense of planning and organization, professional judgement, knows how to inform and interpersonal relationship.
Good knowledge of the Microsoft Suite Office.
Knowledge of AS400 and/or Microsoft Office D365 knowledge, an asset;
Experience in process mapping, production plan, buying processes, inventory control techniques, technical problems resolution skills and storage and distribution logistics.
