At this time, our location in Brampton is seeking a Global Production Planner II to join the team. Please see below for details.
**Job Duties**:
- Main duties are to ensure that supply chain fulfills customer requirements for mass production and trial ordering. Identify supply issues/delays that will impact customer. Openly communicate those challenges to other departments. Night meetings will occur on a monthly basis with GPP.
- Works with SEWS logistics and GPP plants to manage in-bound ocean container and air for timely delivery to the finished goods warehouse, ensuring on-time delivery for trial parts. Negotiating and coordinating ocean freight logistics and material control issues between plants.
- Track vehicle buildout status (timing, obsolescence) with GPP Planners to communicate with management and related departments on a periodic basis. Notify Manager of any challenges with supply and provide countermeasures.
- Coordinate with internal departments (Delivery, QA, Warehouse Operations) to communicate new/past model parts, design level changes, update the internal tracking documentation.
- Work with other Planners and Managers to help create/facilitate any group kaizen items that will benefit the team and SEWS.
**Requirements and qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3-5 years of progressive procurement experience, including experience with planning, estimation, forecast analysis, and coordinating ocean freight logistics and material control issues between plants.
- Experience working in capacity planning with Asia-based suppliers.
- Expertise with MS Office Suite, including proficiency in MS-Excel (Formula, Pivot Table, Excel Macro).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
**Compensation and Benefits**:
- $72,500-76,500 annual salary, based on 40 hours a week
- Paid overtime available
- Standard health benefits, including life insurance, prescription, dental and vision
- Eligible to participate in company RRSP matching plan after 1 year of employment
- Vacation: 10 working days (2 weeks)
- 4 days additional time off with pay (shutdown pay) during designated shutdown period in summer
