The Revenue & Billing Analyst will play a critical role in managing and overseeing the invoicing process to ensure timely and accurate billing for our SaaS products and services. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of SaaS billing models, and the ability to work cross-functionally to resolve billing issues and improve processes.


In addition, you will be a strategic partner to the Sales team, providing critical insights to drive revenue growth and optimization. This role leverages advanced data analysis and problem-solving skills to uncover actionable intelligence that informs decision-making and supports the achievement of company objectives. The primary goal is to enhance sales efficiency and profitability through data-driven insights, with a focus on developing, maintaining, and distributing accurate and timely revenue reporting.

What you'll do:


Full Cycle billing process:

  • Responsible for the billing process, ensuring invoices are generated accurately and in a timely manner to enable timely and accurate revenue recognition in accordance to relevant accounting standards
  • Collaborate with Sales, Revenue, and other departments to resolve billing discrepancies and improve invoicing processes.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of revenue recognition policies and procedures.


Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounts receivable processes.
  • Lead or participate in projects to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounts receivable function.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of billing software and tools.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the revenue management systems.


Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and analyze accounts receivable reports and procedures, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to accounts receivable and drive improvements.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and audit preparation.
  • Provide timely and actionable insights through ad hoc analysis to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Enable Sales leadership with the visibility they need to grow the sales team and meet their acquisition goals.


Accounts Receivable Management:

  • Responsible for the full-cycle accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, cash application, and reconciliation.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of customer invoices in compliance with company policies and contractual terms.
  • Manage the aging of receivables, identifying and addressing overdue accounts.
  • Implement and optimize collection strategies to reduce DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) and improve cash flow.


Customer Support:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for client billing inquiries.
  • Resolve billing issues and discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.


Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with sales, customer success, and product teams to ensure accurate billing information and resolve any issues.
  • Train and mentor junior billing staff.


What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in billing or invoicing, preferably within a SaaS or technology company. Strong financial data analytics highly preferred and can be a substitute for invoicing experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written communication and customer service skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency with invoicing and accounting software (e.g., Chargebee/Maxio, QuickBooks).
  • Familiar with system administration and has a basic understanding of API connections or system integrations.
  • Understanding of SaaS business models and revenue recognition principles.
  • Familiarity with revenue recognition standards.


Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel/spreadsheets (pivot tables, formulas, data wrangling, and analysis).
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Strong ability to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets.
  • Proficiency in CRM reporting.
  • SQL & Python knowledge is a plus.
