The Revenue & Billing Analyst will play a critical role in managing and overseeing the invoicing process to ensure timely and accurate billing for our SaaS products and services. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of SaaS billing models, and the ability to work cross-functionally to resolve billing issues and improve processes.In addition, you will be a strategic partner to the Sales team, providing critical insights to drive revenue growth and optimization. This role leverages advanced data analysis and problem-solving skills to uncover actionable intelligence that informs decision-making and supports the achievement of company objectives. The primary goal is to enhance sales efficiency and profitability through data-driven insights, with a focus on developing, maintaining, and distributing accurate and timely revenue reporting.What you'll do:Full Cycle billing process:Responsible for the billing process, ensuring invoices are generated accurately and in a timely manner to enable timely and accurate revenue recognition in accordance to relevant accounting standardsCollaborate with Sales, Revenue, and other departments to resolve billing discrepancies and improve invoicing processes.Maintain detailed documentation of revenue recognition policies and procedures.Process ImprovementIdentify opportunities to streamline and automate accounts receivable processes.Lead or participate in projects to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounts receivable function.Oversee the implementation and maintenance of billing software and tools.Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the revenue management systems.Reporting and Analysis:Prepare and analyze accounts receivable reports and procedures, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to accounts receivable and drive improvements.Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and audit preparation.Provide timely and actionable insights through ad hoc analysis to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.Enable Sales leadership with the visibility they need to grow the sales team and meet their acquisition goals.Accounts Receivable Management:Responsible for the full-cycle accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, cash application, and reconciliation.Ensure timely and accurate processing of customer invoices in compliance with company policies and contractual terms.Manage the aging of receivables, identifying and addressing overdue accounts.Implement and optimize collection strategies to reduce DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) and improve cash flow.Customer Support:Act as the primary point of contact for client billing inquiries.Resolve billing issues and discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.Team Collaboration:Collaborate with sales, customer success, and product teams to ensure accurate billing information and resolve any issues.Train and mentor junior billing staff.What you'll bring: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or related fieldMinimum of 3 years of experience in billing or invoicing, preferably within a SaaS or technology company. Strong financial data analytics highly preferred and can be a substitute for invoicing experience.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written communication and customer service skills.High level of attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.Proficiency with invoicing and accounting software (e.g., Chargebee/Maxio, QuickBooks).Familiar with system administration and has a basic understanding of API connections or system integrations.Understanding of SaaS business models and revenue recognition principles.Familiarity with revenue recognition standards.Technical Skills:Advanced proficiency in Excel/spreadsheets (pivot tables, formulas, data wrangling, and analysis).Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).Strong ability to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets.Proficiency in CRM reporting.SQL & Python knowledge is a plus.Why you should apply: Competitive Salaries with RRSP matching program Generous paid vacay and sick days A powerful Laptop Budget for courses, books, and personal development❤️ Peer to peer recognition and rewards Team building events, happy hours, and off-sites
