Responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive QA strategies, including functional, non-functional, regression, integration, system, UAT, and API testing. Review all functional and non-functional business requirements and user stories in depth to identify gaps and clarify acceptance criteria, ensuring a complete understanding that enables the development of detailed test cases achieving 100% coverage and eliminating testing gaps. Perform extensive manual, automated, API, and backend/database testing, validating software functionality, data integrity, SQL queries, data pipelines, Power BI reports, and modern cloud-based platforms (Azure, microservices, distributed systems). Develop, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, and TestNG, and support functional, regression, and API testing by leveraging tools such as SoapUI, RestAssured, and Postman to improve test efficiency, scalability, and coverage.

Manage the full defect lifecycle, including severity/priority assessment, root cause analysis, triage coordination, and cross-team collaboration to ensure timely and accurate resolution of issues. Coordinate and execute end-to-end testing across integrated systems, ensuring environment readiness, supporting UAT, and providing clear, data-driven release readiness and go/no-go recommendations. Analyze business and technical requirements, assess risks early, estimate testing effort, and align all QA activities with project timelines and delivery milestones. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, data teams, and key stakeholders, ensuring alignment throughout the SDLC/STLC and communicating clear, actionable insights.

Manage and prioritize multiple concurrent QA initiatives, balancing shifting priorities, business impact, and delivery schedules in a fast-paced environment. Ensure the secure handling of sensitive data, validate third-party integrations, and conduct testing for backup, recovery, and other resilience-related processes. Continuously improve QA processes by adopting modern tools, frameworks, and best practices while helping maintain consistent, high-quality QA standards across the team.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience across the full IT software delivery lifecycle, supporting complex and integrated applications. 8+ years in Quality Assurance, specializing in manual testing (functional, integration, system, performance, UAT) and test coordination. 3+ years in automation, building and supporting frameworks for regression and API testing. 2+ years working within Agile/Iterative methodologies (Scrum, Sprint). Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) for managing requirements, test cases, execution, defects, traceability, and reporting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience conducting root cause analysis and effective solutioning.

Skilled in working with Oracle and SQL Server databases, including writing and executing SQL queries for data validation and backend testing. Strong proficiency in defect triage, prioritization, and lifecycle management.

Experience

in the energy and utilities sector with strong domain understanding and industry-specific QA practices.
