Opportunity Reporting to the General Manager – Materials, the Sales Manager will be responsible for the sale of aggregates and hot mix asphalt in the Greater Calgary market by building and maintaining client relationships. What You’ll Do Communicate the value of Aecon’s products and services to customers. Develop and execute a targeted sales plan within the marketplace and identify the key decision makers for your customer base. Service current accounts and acquire new business through proactive outreach to understand customer needs. Bid on tendered projects and seek new opportunities to meet sales objectives. Generate time‑sensitive sales quotes, negotiate terms, and close projects. Coordinate the daily dispatch and delivery of aggregate and asphalt materials to schedule customer orders. Follow up regularly to ensure customer satisfaction with quality and service levels. Establish and maintain strong business relationships with customers and industry partners. Support the credit department in collecting accounts receivable. Monitor market conditions, industry trends, and competitor activities. Perform and manage sales administrative functions, including performance reporting. Represent the company at industry events. Travel regularly to meet with customers on site. Adhere to Aecon’s corporate health and safety program. Perform other duties as assigned. What You Bring CET, Business Degree or equivalent training and experience. 5+ years in sales or marketing, preferably in a construction materials environment (Aggregates, Asphalt, Ready Mix). Construction market and industry knowledge is an asset. Strong computer skills – proficiency in Microsoft Office. Excellent communication skills – oral and written. Self‑directed and initiative‑taking with good organizational skills. Adaptability to a flexible work schedule when required. Ability to work collaboratively within a team. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
