Peace River School Division is seeking applications for a Part-Time (0.62 F.T.E.) Educational Assistant at Grimshaw Public School. This position will commence on September 16, 2024 and continue until June 13, 2025. The successful candidate will be working with students in ECS.

Grimshaw Public School is an exciting and dynamic school located in the town of Grimshaw, 20 kms west of Peace River. The school serves students from grades K-12. A strong academic program and a full range of athletic programs, supported by the addition of a new community recreation multiplex center, are offered to the Grimshaw Public School students.

Q ualifications:

Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent

Experience and/or training working with young children

Skills:

Ability to work with children with varied age, skill level, needs and abilities

Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teachers

Ability to work as part of a team

Ability to work independently

Commitment and accountability

Requirements:

Provide an acceptance current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check

This is a Union position under CUPE Employees, Local 4839 Peace River Support Staff.

Rate of Pay:

$20.16 to $25.29 per hour (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the CUPE Local 4839 and the Peace River School Division).
