We are seeking an experienced Data Architect with strong expertise in Azure cloud, Databricks , and banking domain data platforms . The candidate will be responsible for designing, governing, and optimizing scalable enterprise data architectures supporting regulatory, analytical, and real‑time use cases in the banking environment. Key Responsibilities Design and own end‑to‑end data architecture on Microsoft Azure for large‑scale banking data platforms. Architect lakehouse solutions using Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2). Define data modeling standards (conceptual, logical, physical) for transactional, analytical, and reporting systems. Lead architecture for data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration using tools like ADF, Databricks workflows, and event‑based pipelines. Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance (PII, GDPR, SOX, PCI DSS, BCBS 239). Establish data governance, metadata management, lineage, and data quality frameworks. Collaborate with business, risk, compliance, and analytics teams to translate banking requirements into technical architecture. Provide architectural guidance to development teams and perform design/code reviews. Optimize performance, scalability, and cost of Azure data solutions. Support modernization and migration from legacy/on‑prem data warehouses to Azure. Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills: Strong experience with Azure Data Services, including Azure SQL / Cosmos DB (good to have). Expertise in Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog). Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, lakehouse architecture, and ETL/ELT patterns. Hands‑on experience with SQL, PySpark, and data transformations. Experience designing batch and near real‑time data pipelines. Familiarity with CI/CD for data platforms (Azure DevOps, Git). Understanding of cloud security, IAM, encryption, and key management in Azure. Domain Expertise Risk, Compliance, AML, KYC, Fraud, Regulatory Reporting Customer, Transaction, Account, and Product data Experience with regulatory data architecture and audit requirements. Preferred Qualifications Experience with enterprise data governance tools (Purview, Collibra, Alation). Exposure to real‑time streaming (Kafka, Event Hub). Experience working in large enterprise or global banking environments.
