RCT is looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our sales organization. Your role will be to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with target prospects. From facilitating initial conversations, to developing team wide biz-dev best practices through testing, iteration, and repetition, you’ll be an integral member for our Sales and Marketing organization. In this role, you’ll be responsible for identifying and then qualifying our prospect’s PAIN, as defined by our sales methodology. As we say, No Pain - No Sale. You’ll be responsible for executing outbound lead generation cadences using SalesLoft and Salesforce and you‘ll be measured on your weekly activity and your ability to generate MQLs for the sales team. You’ll get to work alongside a passionate and supportive team who view you as an integral part of their personal success as well as the RCT team’s success. To be successful in this role, you should have some previous experience developing leads from outbound outreach campaigns and meeting weekly activity targets. Previous experience cold calling is a nice-to-have but not a need to have. Although cold calling is only one of several outreach channels we use for outbound lead generation at RCT, it’s one that will be used daily in your role. You will use your communication and organizational skills to execute daily outbound sales cadences to uncover potential sales opportunities for the sales team. LinkedIn, email, social and more will be part of your outbound toolkit. Ultimately, you will boost the volume of qualified leads the team receives, which will contribute to our long-term business growth. Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute outbound lead generation campaigns using Salesloft and Salesforce
  • Create your own outbound sales cadences (over time) in Salesloft and improve upon existing cadences built by others
  • Contact prospects through cold calls, warm calls, LinkedIn, emails, and social
  • Achieve weekly activity targets
  • Strategize with team members to innovate and improve the overall business development process
  • Learn Sandler and MEDDPICC methodologies and participate as a full member of the Sales & Marketing team
  • Deliver all sales scripts with professionalism and with an always-improving mind-set
  • Manage the hand-off of qualified leads to the RSMs
  • Follow the RCT Playbook and be a part of making the Playbook better
  • Report to the Director of Marketing


Qualifications

Skills & Work Traits :

  • Passion for beginning/continuing your career in technology sales
  • Results oriented, self -motivated, driven, with a dislike for losing
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with MEDDPICC and Sandler is a ‘plus’, if you do not have experience with one or both, you have a willingness to learn both as they are both the official languages of sales at RCT – RELAX, it’ll be fun
  • Exposure to more complex, consultative sales opportunities an asset
  • A desire to become an expert in enterprise sales is an even greater asset
  • COACHABLE, CURIOUS, CALM, FUN, a TEAM PLAYER
  • RCT prefers GTA based candidates who are available to attend in the office several times each month
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, Salesloft)
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics


Education & Experience:

  • 2 years B2B SaaS industry experience, is preferred
  • University or College degree, is preferred
