On behalf of our Public Sector Client , Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Product Owner to join our Client's team on a Contract basis. This role is Hybrid and the Client is based in Richmond, BC . Summary Of The Role The Product Owner will guide product strategy within a large transformation initiative, translating business analysis into clear product definitions and roadmaps. Working closely with business design teams, technical leads, and delivery groups, this role ensures alignment between business objectives and technology execution. The position requires strong communication skills and experience working with complex systems in a multi‐stakeholder environment. Duties & Responsibilities Oversee product work within a transformation program, ensuring clarity of product vision and feature scope. Collaborate with business design analysts to convert analysis outcomes into defined products and features. Quantify and articulate product benefits and user impacts. Interact with delivery teams to ensure understanding of product goals and context. Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap for program and development team reference. Support change experts in planning for product‑related change management. Serve as a liaison between business units and technology teams. Prepare and deliver presentations to business and technical audiences, including senior leaders. Core Requirements 7+ years of product management experience supporting complex systems. Familiarity with agile development practices. Experience presenting to senior executives. Ability to translate business analysis into product roadmaps and feature sets. Experience collaborating with both business subject matter experts and technical architecture or delivery teams. Desired Skills & Experience Experience developing product visions, roadmaps, and business‑level feature definitions. Ability to articulate business benefits and support business case development. Strong communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration. Experience working within large transformation or modernization programs. Ability to translate business context into actionable direction for technical teams. Terms This is a 12‑month contract delivered in a hybrid arrangement requiring three days per week onsite in Richmond, BC. Backcheck and reference checks are required at the offer stage.
