Required Skills & Experience

  • 5-10 years Mechanical Engineer Experience
  • Certified P.ENG or close to completing
  • Experience in the design of custom equipment, typically: steel structures, hoisting systems, mechanical drives, cranes, pressure vessels or piping systems
  • Experienced in pressure retaining systems and/or material handling and/or structure codes to CSA and ASME
  • Strong FEA background using ANSYS and proficient in stress analysis calculation

Job Description

  • Insight Global is seeking Mechanical Engineer to join the Pressure Boundary and Analysis team at a top Nuclear client. This resource will be responsible for setting the technical direction for the overall project and act as the main technical interface point to both internal and external customers. You will primarily focus on the design and analysis aspects of pressure-retaining systems and components for CANDU reactors. Day to day responsibilities include concept design, stress analysis, design reports, overpressure protection reports, maintenance and operational support.



Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as short-term and long-term disability, life insurance and AD&D. Employees will also have access to a registered retirement savings account with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
