Communications and Digital Marketing Specialist St. Clement’s School (SCS) is currently seeking a Communications and Digital Marketing Specialist to join our team. The Specialist is one of our resident storytellers and photographers, responsible for creating engaging on‑brand content that effectively shares the stories of SCS. This role plays a critical part in planning, developing, and executing SCS’s marketing and communication strategies to ensure they reflect brand values and connect with families, prospective families, donors, and alumni. Working as part of the Advancement Department, the Specialist is a member of the Communications team, which provides marketing and communication support to the full school. Key Responsibilities Collaborate to plan and implement a comprehensive, unified, and engaging strategic digital media action plan to increase engagement, followers, and brand awareness across school accounts; create on‑brand video, print, and digital content. Manage the school’s digital communications, ensuring integration across site, online, and multiple social media platforms. Track and analyze social media metrics, providing regular reports that use data to inform future strategies. Seek out content opportunities from the SCS community and provide strategic and creative input for their leverage across platforms. Design graphic promotional materials, social media graphics, and branded pieces. Manage and maintain the SCS website, reviewing and updating content, and coding for new page development and corrections. Lead the development and delivery of weekly and monthly e‑newsletters, alum newsletters, and other electronic communications. Proactively identify and source content, capturing compelling stories and visuals by monitoring ongoing school events and activities. Collaborate with various school departments (Admissions, Athletics, Arts, Student Life, etc.) to source and create content for social media and communications materials. Attend and post about school events and activities, including those that take place outside regular hours. Stay current on emerging social media trends, tools, and best practices. Capture photography and videography for fundraising, school activities, and alumni relations. Produce video content for social media, responsible for concept, design, development, and production. Create and execute promotional plans across platforms as required. Maintain the Communications team's content calendar. Other related duties as assigned. Occasional evening and weekend work required. Qualifications, Experience And Attributes Of Our Ideal Candidate Post‑secondary degree or diploma in a related field. 5 years relevant work experience. Experience with website management using a content management system. Proven photography and videography skills, including the ability to shoot, edit, and publish high‑quality content. Digital content creation experience with excellent visual storytelling, writing, and editing abilities. Strong creative writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Experience in content creation and growth of social media platforms. Code‑writing capacity and proficiency with software such as WordPress, Mailchimp, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Graduway, as well as the ability to quickly learn new programs. Strong awareness of the current digital media landscape and willingness to adopt emerging trends and tools. Willingness to become immersed in daily school life at SCS and proactively seek story angles. Discretion and sensitivity when handling confidential material and situations. Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple tasks while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy. Resourceful and flexible with strong organizational, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills. Criminal record check is required as a condition of employment. Compensation And Benefits The salary range for this position is between $68,000 and $76,000 per annum, plus a comprehensive benefits plan and generous vacation time.
