Position Description Job Title: Electrical Engineer Reliability Location: Truro, NS Company: Intertape Polymer Group Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of plant equipment and providing technical electrical support. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Ensure the reliability and optimal performance of plant equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues in a timely manner. Provide technical support and guidance to the maintenance team during regular hours and be available for urgent issues after hours. Develop and implement electrical maintenance procedures and protocols. Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to improve overall plant performance. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant reliability. Mentor engineers-in-training and apprentices in related fields. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. Proven experience in plant equipment maintenance and reliability. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including PLCs, motors, and control systems. Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in electrical engineering. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with Rslogix5000 Professional Engineer (PE) license. Experience with predictive maintenance technologies.
