Valiant Behavioural Health is small private residential addiction and Mental Health residential treatment center. Using evidence and faith based Principles, we provide both group and individual counseling. Having lower client numbers, clients are able to receive more individualized care during a 30-90 day stay.The Counselors / facilitators play a crucial role in supporting individuals struggling with substance use disorders and related mental health issues. This position involves providing therapeutic services, conducting assessments, and developing treatment plans tailored to each client's needs. The Addiction Counselor / group facilitator will work collaboratively with clients and their families to foster recovery, promote healthy coping strategies, and facilitate access to necessary resources.Responsibilities-Conduct assessments and evaluations-Develop and implement individualized treatment plans-Provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing-Facilitate crisis intervention and management for clients in distress.-Offer family counseling to support the broader family unit in the recovery process.-Maintain accurate documentation, including patient records, intake forms, and progress notes-Engage in case management activities to coordinate care across various service providers.-Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in addiction counseling.- Assist with daily center activities such as meal prep, organization and Cleaning.Skills-Proficiency in psychotherapy techniques, including crisis intervention and behavioral therapy.-Experience working in addiction and mental heath.-Knowledge of PTSD care, group therapy methodologies, and social work principles.-Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, intake processes, and clinical documentation standards.-Strong capabilities in patient assessment, case management, and addiction counseling practices.-Skills in data collection related to patient care outcomes.-Ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively. This role requires a compassionate approach combined with strong analytical skills to support individuals on their path to recovery from addiction.Valiant Behavioural Health is a Drug free workplace. Drug and alcohol testing will be completed upon hire as well as randomly throughout employment. Individuals with a history of addiction are required to have a minimum of 5 years of sobriety from addictive Substances.Wage range is based on experience and credentials
