Our Auto Centre Teams offer a ‘one‑stop shop’ for customers’ auto claim needs, fostering deep and long‑lasting relationships through personalized, trusted advice. What You’ll Do As an Auto Claims Advisor you’ll represent TD Insurance and coordinate a claim from start to finish, providing compassionate and analytical support to customers immediately after an automobile accident. Support customer claims from start to finish: Arrange towing, set up appraisals, and explain coverage terms. Gather, organize and verify information: Compile facts from all sources to resolve claims thoroughly. Reconcile estimates: Compare vendor estimates to secure appropriate settlements for vehicle damage. Maintain productivity: Contribute to file count and open/close ratio goals. Collaborate: Work with internal partners, stakeholders and external vendors such as Enterprise and repair shops. Research coverage scenarios: Apply knowledge to claim files. Demonstrate customer‑centric strategy: Contribute to TD Insurance Group deliverables. Provide a welcoming experience: Greet customers at TD Auto Centres. Apply unbiased methods: Achieve fair and equitable claim settlements. Communicate clearly: Detail processing requirements and provide timely updates. Contribute to team culture: Participate in a positive work environment. Job Requirements One or more years of claims‑adjusting experience (post‑secondary education a plus). Excellent customer‑service skills with a focus on exceeding expectations. Superior time‑management in fast‑paced, priority‑driven settings. Proven negotiation skills for positive outcomes. Strong written and verbal communication and active listening. Ability to investigate thoroughly, analyze evidence, and identify gaps. Support for process improvement initiatives. Active pursuit of Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation or other continuing education preferred. Provincial claims licensing may be required.
