This permanent position within the Department of Cardiovascular Perfusion is essential to both adult and pediatric cardiac surgeries. You will engage in various procedures, contributing to ECMO support, ventricular assist devices, and intra-aortic balloon pump therapy. This dynamic role offers the chance to work across high-acuity settings while enhancing your clinical expertise.
Key Responsibilities: • Perform cardiopulmonary bypass procedures for diverse patient needs • Manage ECMO, VADs, and IABP throughout surgeries • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on complex cases • Implement autologous blood recovery and quality assurance processes • Stay current in clinical perfusion practices
Requirements: • Graduate from an accredited Perfusion Technology program • Certification with Canadian Society of Clinical Perfusion required • Two years of clinical perfusion experience preferred • Strong teamwork and emergency response skills • Competency in French is an asset
