Anaplan Business Analyst | Finance-Focused Planning | Hybrid Across Canada (Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver) Henderson Drake is recruiting on behalf of a large, enterprise organisation that is continuing to invest heavily in Anaplan as a core platform for financial planning and performance management. As part of this growth, they are looking to appoint an Anaplan Business Analyst to support high-impact finance use cases across the business. This is a hands-on, business-facing role for someone who enjoys building robust Anaplan models, engaging closely with finance stakeholders, and shaping how planning is done at scale. The Opportunity You will sit at the centre of finance and technology, owning Anaplan requirements from discovery through to delivery. Working across FP&A and commercial finance teams, you will help translate complex business needs into scalable, high-performing Anaplan solutions. You will be trusted to challenge stakeholders constructively, raise the bar on model design, and ensure Anaplan is being used to its full potential across the organisation. The role follows a hybrid working model , with two days per week onsite in Toronto, Calgary, or Vancouver . What You'll Be Doing (Core Responsibilities) Acting as the primary bridge between finance stakeholders and the Anaplan platform Leading requirements gathering across budgeting, forecasting, and planning teams Building, enhancing, and maintaining Anaplan models across core finance use cases Designing robust model structures, calculations, and planning logic Challenging requirements where needed to ensure best-practice design Supporting testing, deployment, and continuous optimisation of models Partnering closely with finance leadership to improve planning processes and outcomes What They're Looking For Strong hands-on Anaplan model building experience Certified Anaplan Model Builder Proven experience delivering finance-led use cases Strong understanding of FP&A processes, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting Confidence engaging with and challenging senior stakeholders Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Why This Role Stands Out Anaplan plays a critical role in how this organisation plans, forecasts, and makes decisions.
