Job Description
Join our team as a Production Worker where you will safely and productively operate various equipment and hand tools to assemble wall panels, floor panels, and roof trusses. Your role will involve reading and interpreting plans and blueprints to ensure accurate assembly. You will be responsible for the assembly of floors, roof trusses, and walls for the home construction industry, using tools such as hammers, nail guns, and more. Performing visual quality checks will also be a part of your daily duties.

Responsibilities

Operate equipment and hand tools to assemble wall panels, floor panels, and roof trusses. Read and interpret plans and blueprints for accurate assembly. Assemble floors, roof trusses, and walls for the home construction industry. Set wood using lasers beamed down to indicate placement on truss/floor tables. Apply nail plates and use hammers, hands, nail guns to set up wood. Conduct visual quality checks to ensure assembly accuracy. Essential Skills Experience with construction, roofing, or home renovations.

Minimum 1 month experience in construction-related activities. 3 months of experience working with hand tools such as hammer, drill, and saw. Ability to read a measuring tape in both standard and metric. Competence in using saws and power tools. Experience in construction, framing, or building components. Additional Skills & Qualifications Roof truss assembly experience. Sawmill experience. Nail gun experience. Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Our plant is located in a small town with a friendly culture where everyone gets along well and enjoys breaks together. While the plant is not 100% climate-controlled, large industrial fans have been installed to assist with air circulation. Teams range from 2 to 5 members depending on the work area. The dress code is relaxed, allowing jeans and hats, with the requirement of CSA Approved Steel Toed Boots.

Work hours are Monday through Thursday from 7 AM to 4:30 PM, and Friday from 7 AM to 2:30 PM

& Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Thorndale, ON. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00
- $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
