The Software team is currently responsible for IT at Nord Quantique. To support our internal operations and lay a solid foundation for the company's growth, we are looking for an experienced individual who will be responsible for structuring and improving our IT infrastructure. Working in close collaboration with other members of the Software team and DistriQ, the candidate will: Develop and implement best practices for managing IT resources and data company wide. Manage policies for controlling access to IT tools. Establish and maintain an inventory of the company's IT equipment; ensure employee onboarding by providing them with the necessary equipment. Deploy, maintain and troubleshoot workstations, servers as well as the company network. Collaborate with cybersecurity experts to ensure the security of hardware and software systems by implementing recommended practices. Perform any other related IT-related tasks. Education and experience requirements : Diploma of college studies in computer science or related field. At least 3 years of professional experience in IT management or systems support. Proven experience in deploying new IT processes. Experience working in a scientific or R&D environment, an asset. Sought expertise and knowledge: Expertise in IT problem solving Expertise in IT best practices Skills in scripting and automation Experience in managing Microsoft 365 and Apple Business Manager services, an asset Experience in cybersecurity, an asset Expertise in communication between laboratory instruments and computers (PCIe/USB/serial, etc.), an asset Advanced level in English, to communicate with international team members Intermediate knowledge of French, an asset Sought profile: Proactive approach and strong problem-solving skills Ability and motivation to structure and improve processes in a growing company Excellent communication skills with experts and non-experts alike Strong team spirit and determination to collaborate with different teams within the company Desire to contribute to our mission of advancing the field of quantum computing and motivation to work with scientists Nord Quantique is committed to the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion in its training, workplaces, and activities.
