Duties

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes using software such as QuickBooks, Profile
  • Prepare financial statements
  • Reconcile accounts regularly to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies
  • Support in Tax preparation of T1, T2 & T3 filings
  • Support budgeting and account analysis tasks to aid financial planning and reporting
  • Prepare reports related to financial transactions and account status for management review
  • Collaborate with the finance team on month-end closing activities and audit preparations
  • Monthly bookkeeping and HST filings to CRA
  • Knowledge of IRS tax preparation

Experience

  • Proven experience working with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Profile, Quicken
  • Strong background in bookkeeping, data entry, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation
  • Experience handling accounts payable/receivable processes and payroll administration using ADP or Ceridian is preferred
  • Knowledge of budgeting processes and account analysis techniques
  • Familiarity with financial services industry standards is a plus
  • Experience in T1 & T2 tax filings preparation
  • Degree or diploma in accounting from university in Canada
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high accuracy standards
