Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general repairs and maintenance across managed properties
  • Plumbing repairs (leaks, faucets, toilets, minor pipe work)
  • Basic electrical work (switches, outlets, light fixtures)
  • Drywall repairs, patching, and painting touch-ups
  • Door, lock, hinge, and window repairs
  • Flooring repairs (laminate, vinyl, tile touch-ups)
  • Appliance troubleshooting and minor repairs
  • Exterior maintenance (fences, decks, gates, minor landscaping)
  • Perform unit inspections and report major repair needs
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests when required
  • Maintain tools, materials, and clean work areas
  • Coordinate with Property Managers and office staff
  • Follow health, safety, and company policies at all times

Requirements & Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Handyman or Maintenance Technician
  • Strong knowledge of general repairs and maintenance
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
  • Own basic tools (preferred)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including emergencies
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with rental or property management companies
  • Basic understanding of building codes and safety regulations
  • Trade certifications (plumbing, electrical) are an asset
