Job Skills / Requirements

We are looking for experienced Security Officers to join our Tactical Mobile team
In this role, your main objective is the prevention and elimination of criminal activity in the Lower Mainland, Metro Vancouver, and beyond. You will be conducting and coordinating emergency responses to alarms, reporting security breaches and property damage, and directing unauthorized individuals to leave the premises. You will be driving a Paladin vehicle and also conducting foot patrols inside and outside of facilities, up and down stairs, and over uneven surfaces and terrains.

This team works throughout the Lower Mainland, but your shifts will start and end at the base site in Surrey. Your pay rate will start at $25.00/hour - $27.00/hour depending on your position and completion of training, and you will be working 12-hour shifts on a rotational basis.

Responsibilities:

Conduct regular patrols and surveillance of client facilities; provide access control as neededRespond to alarms, accident calls, and emergencies at client facilities within designated time frames Escalate and report issues to the Security Command Centre in a timely mannerDispatch and work with first responders (police/fire/ambulance)Write thorough, detailed incident reports for security incidents or damaged properties that occur during shiftBuild rapport with surrounding businesses to heighten the level of securityProvide preliminary technical analysis to help troubleshoot security systemsMaintain a good rapport with all Paladin employees and client staffUse discretion when handling confidential information Handle all incidents in a professional and calm demeanorOther duties as required to meet operational demands

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of work experience in the security industry Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and a clean driving abstractAvailability to work 12-hour overnight shifts on a 4-day rotationExperience in handcuff training/use and self-defense; Advanced Security Training (AST) is preferred, but training will be provided to successful candidatesOccupational First Aid Level 2 (IFA) certification is an asset; training will be provided to the successful candidates.Ability to lead, plan, organize, delegate and problem-solve.Exceptional customer service, professionalism, and communication (both verbal and written) skillsStrong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookPost-secondary education in Criminology & Law Enforcement is an assetMust be legally authorized to work in Canada
