Position Summary:

The SIOP Sr. Business Analyst is a key contributor to De Havilland's Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process. This role is responsible for driving inventory performance, supporting accurate forecasting, and ensuring data integrity across manufacturing and aftermarket programs. The analyst partners with cross-functional teams to balance material availability, working capital, and business targets through strong analytical insights and disciplined process management.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Planning & Control

  • Develop and manage the inventory budget and forecast, aligning with business and production plans.
  • Conduct regular reviews of excess and obsolete stock; recommend reduction strategies including sales to Spares/Sales or scrap disposition.
  • Maintain accurate inventory parameters (safety stock, reorder points, min/max levels, and lead times) within ERP.
  • Establish and maintain a cycle count database (including BFE inventory) and drive accuracy through reconciliation and root cause analysis.
  • Prepare and publish regular inventory performance packs and KPIs (inventory turns, aging, accuracy, slow-moving, and value by site).
  • Support and execute regular inventory analysis and reporting in collaboration with Finance.

Forecasting & Scenario Analysis

  • Develop and maintain inventory forecast models for Raw Material (RM), Work-In-Progress (WIP), and Finished Goods (FG).
  • Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis to assess the impact of demand, schedule, or supply variations on inventory positions.
  • Define and maintain order policy / plan-for-every-part strategies to ensure alignment between forecast and supply execution.

SIOP / Cross-Functional Integration

  • Support the SIOP cycle through data validation, KPI tracking, and preparation of reporting packages.
  • Collaborate with Demand Planners, Production Control, Procurement, and Finance to ensure alignment between demand, capacity, and inventory targets.
  • Partner with Logistics and Manufacturing to resolve material flow issues, quarantined stock, and obsolescence risks.

ERP & Data Governance

  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity of inventory master data and planning parameters in ERP environment.
  • Troubleshoot system discrepancies and coordinate with ERP super-users to drive corrective actions.
  • Support ERP-related transitions, audits, and process improvements impacting inventory management.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in inventory, planning, or supply chain analytics in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (IFS preferred; SAP or Oracle acceptable).
  • Proven experience in SIOP/MRP processes, forecasting, and inventory optimization.

Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced analytical and Excel/Power BI skills.
  • Strong understanding of inventory budgeting, forecasting, and financial linkage.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear business insights and actions.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Performance Indicators

  • Inventory accuracy and turns vs. plan.
  • Reduction of excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Forecast and SIOP KPI adherence.
  • ERP data quality score and timely reporting compliance.
