Senior Quality Specialist at Syntronic Production Services Canada (SPO) a professional responsible for ensuring that products meet certain thresholds of acceptability. They are integral to both the design and manufacturing processes of electronic products, aiming to maintain high standards of quality and reliability. This role requires a meticulous eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes and Quality standards.

What You'll Do

  • Quality Assurance Processes: Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and standards for electronic products.
  • Testing and Inspection: Conduct rigorous tests and inspections on products and components to ensure they meet quality specifications and compliance standards.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Investigate and determine the root causes of defects or failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of quality standards, test results, inspection processes, Nonconforming materials and corrective actions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with production, and engineering teams to develop and refine product specifications and manufacturing processes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Customer Interaction: Liaise with customers to understand their quality requirements and feedback, and ensure their expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Compliance: Ensure all products meet industry regulations and standards, such as ISO, RoHS, and IPC standards.

What You'll Need To Get The Job Done

  • Educational Background: Preferred -Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field..
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering within the electronics manufacturing industry.
  • Certifications: Quality-related certifications such as Six Sigma, ISO 9001, or CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) are highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with IPC A 610/ J STD 001 standards
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in quality assurance methodologies, data and statistical analysis, and quality control software.MS Excel
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to meticulously review and analyze products, components, and processes to identify any deviations or defects.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to collect and interpret data, making informed decisions based on statistical analysis.
  • Problem-Solving: Proficiency in identifying issues, determining root causes, and implementing effective corrective actions.
  • Communication: Clear and effective communication skills to articulate quality standards, processes, and findings to various stakeholders.
  • Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of electronic manufacturing processes, materials, and industry standards.
