Westcana Electric Inc. is a leading Western Canadian Electrical Contractor seeking Journeyman and Apprentice Electricians to join our team. We are seeking a driven, reliable team member who will work to exceed clients expectations and perform their tasks in a safe and timely manner.
APPRENTICES ($19.54-$34.97) Rates include RRSP contributions after 30 days of employment
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical codes.
- Participate in wiring, circuit installation, panel upgrades, and troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations on job sites.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Attend training sessions and complete required coursework for apprenticeship progression.
Skills
- Basic understanding of electrical principles and practices.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in the electrical field.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety standards.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
JOURNEYMEN (Starting at $39.65) Rates include RRSP contributions after 30 days of employment
Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance for residential and commercial projects
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations
- Collaborate with team members and clients to deliver high-quality service

Qualifications:
- Journeyman Electrician Red Seal
- Experience in both commercial and residential electrical work
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
