Apprentice and Journeyperson Electrician

Westcana Electric Inc. is a leading Western Canadian Electrical Contractor seeking Journeyman and Apprentice Electricians to join our team. We are seeking a driven, reliable team member who will work to exceed clients expectations and perform their tasks in a safe and timely manner.

APPRENTICES ($19.54-$34.97) Rates include RRSP contributions after 30 days of employment

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings.
• Learn to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical codes.
• Participate in wiring, circuit installation, panel upgrades, and troubleshooting electrical issues.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations on job sites.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
• Attend training sessions and complete required coursework for apprenticeship progression.

Skills

• Basic understanding of electrical principles and practices.
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in the electrical field.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety standards.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.

JOURNEYMEN (Starting at $39.65) Rates include RRSP contributions after 30 days of employment

Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance for residential and commercial projects
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations
• Collaborate with team members and clients to deliver high-quality service
• Troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently and effectively

Qualifications:

• Journeyman Electrician Red Seal
• Experience in both commercial and residential electrical work
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills
