Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced
Business Systems Analyst
to lead the delivery of complex system requirements supporting
mobile applications and digital banking platforms
. This role provides technical leadership across the full SDLC, partnering with business and technology stakeholders to define, analyze, document, and deliver high-quality
functional and non-functional requirements
. The position offers an opportunity to support a
new end-to-end AI initiative
within a leading Canadian bank.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead planning, elicitation, analysis, documentation, and management of
    system requirements
    aligned with mobile standards and frameworks.
  • Act as a
    senior/lead systems analyst
    , coaching and guiding team members within area of expertise.
  • Translate business needs into detailed
    functional specifications
    , including non-functional requirements.
  • Own end-to-end
    requirements traceability
    through design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess solution options, system impacts, and integration approaches.
  • Support testing teams by translating requirements into
    test conditions and expected results
    .
  • Provide oversight and guidance to ensure solutions meet standards for
    quality, scalability, reusability, and innovation
    .
  • Support implementation and
    post-implementation activities
    .
  • Contribute to business cases, RFI/RFPs, and vendor SLAs as needed.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, trends, and tools while adhering to the
    code of conduct
    .

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years
    of experience as a
    Business Systems Analyst
    .
  • Proven experience supporting
    mobile applications
    .
  • Strong
    requirements gathering and documentation
    expertise.
  • Post-secondary education (degree or equivalent).
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaborate across business and technical teams.
  • Excellent
    written and verbal communication skills
    .

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Prior
    banking, payments, or e-commerce
    experience (e.g., Shopify, Amazon web store).
  • Experience supporting
    payment systems
    .
  • Technical background.

    (client prefers tenure of 1+ year per role).
