Job Overview

We are seeking a highly accomplished Senior IT Analyst to lead enterprise-level data, systems, and analytics initiatives that directly influence strategic decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate is an expert-level technologist with strong architectural thinking, deep data engineering capabilities, and a proven ability to deliver complex solutions within dynamic, cross-functional environments. This role requires designing modern data architectures, optimizing mission-critical systems, and steering advanced analytics initiatives that support long-term organizational growth.

Duties

  • Enterprise Analytics and BI Solutions

Develop and govern enterprise dashboards, analytics models, and BI solutions using Tableau, Power BI, and other visualization tools.

Ensure BI solutions are scalable, optimized, and aligned with data governance standards.

  • Agile Delivery and SDLC Leadership

Provide technical leadership within Agile teams, supporting sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and cross-functional coordination.

Own and manage the full Software Development Life Cycle for multiple complex projects, ensuring quality, compliance, and timely delivery.

  • Advanced Business and Systems Analysis

Lead business requirements gathering and convert functional needs into structured, scalable technical solutions.

Conduct gap analysis and recommend process improvements for enterprise systems.

  • Database Architecture and Data Engineering

Design and optimize enterprise-grade data architectures using SQL Server, Oracle, and cloud data technologies.

Develop high-performance SQL queries, ETL and ELT pipelines, stored procedures, and automated data workflows.

Work with data warehousing concepts including star and snowflake schemas and advanced data modeling.

  • Programming and Automation

Use Python, R, VBA, and Bash to build analytics workflows, automation scripts, and system tools.

Utilize ETL and orchestration tools such as Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Informatica, or Airflow.

  • Cloud, Big Data, and Modern Architectures

Design cloud-based data solutions using Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

Work with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, and Databricks for large-scale data processing.

Develop and integrate APIs, middleware solutions, and CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.

  • Data Governance, Security, and Compliance

Implement data governance standards, quality controls, metadata management, and master data management practices.

Apply data security best practices including encryption, access control, and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and HIPAA as applicable.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration and Leadership

Collaborate with architecture, development, and business teams to align solutions with organizational goals.

Mentor analysts and serve as a subject-matter expert in analytics strategy, data management, and systems optimization.

Prepare and deliver documentation and system diagrams using Visio and similar tools.

  • Operational and Strategic Analysis

Conduct advanced data analysis and statistical modeling to support strategic initiatives and operational improvements.

Lead post-implementation reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement activities.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Master's degree is a strong plus but not required.
  • 7–10 years of professional experience in IT, analytics, or data management roles.
  • 3–5 years in a senior or lead capacity managing complex projects, enterprise systems, or cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience with BI tools, SQL/Oracle databases, data architecture, programming (Python/R/VBA/Bash), cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), and Agile SDLC practices.
  • Preferred: experience in enterprise environments or large-scale system integration projects and certifications such as CBAP, Agile/Scrum, Microsoft, AWS, or Google Cloud certifications.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Expert-level proficiency with Power BI and Tableau.
  • Advanced experience with Python, R, VBA, and Bash.
  • Mastery of SQL Server, Oracle, database design, indexing, and performance tuning.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL pipelines, and analytics engineering.
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud data platforms.
  • Knowledge of big data tools and processing methods.
  • Experience leading Agile delivery and SDLC management.
  • Strong business analysis and systems thinking capabilities.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards.
  • Experience with API integrations and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with automation tools such as Power Automate or UiPath.

Familiarity with monitoring and logging platforms including Splunk, Grafana, Kibana, and CloudWatch.

  • Exposure to predictive modeling, forecasting, or machine learning.

Certifications such as CBAP, Agile/Scrum, Azure or AWS, or BI and data management credentials.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
