Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in flooring installation and construction, with a keen eye for detail and precision. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for laying tiles in residential and commercial settings, ensuring that all work meets high-quality standards and adheres to project specifications.

Duties

  • Measure and cut tiles to fit specific areas using hand tools and equipment.
  • Lay tiles according to design specifications, ensuring proper alignment and spacing.
  • Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, leveling, and applying adhesives as needed.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to determine layout and installation requirements.
  • Apply grout and caulk to finished tile work, ensuring a clean and professional appearance.
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, reporting any issues as necessary.
  • Provide maintenance person services as needed to support overall project completion.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in tile laying and flooring installation is essential.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools related to construction tasks.
  • Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions accurately.
  • Knowledge of carpentry techniques is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Previous maintenance person experience is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials as needed.
