Job Summary

Hours of work are from 7 to 9am Mon to Fri and 7 ro 9am Sat and Sun.

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, hospice care, and home care environments. The ideal candidate will have experience working with seniors, people with disabilities, or those requiring specialized care such as dementia or hospice support. This role involves fostering a safe, respectful, and supportive environment to enhance the well-being and independence of clients.

Duties

  • Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, diapering and offloading.
  • Help with light housekeeping tasks like cleaning and maintaining a safe environment.
  • Offer emotional support and companionship to clients, promoting mental well-being
  • Document care activities accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare teams
  • Support clients with dementia or other cognitive impairments through specialized caregiving techniques.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospice, or home care settings preferred,
  • Knowledge of patient care, and varegiving practices,
  • Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring dementia or hospice care is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks safely and effectively
  • Strong communication skills and compassionate nature
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Certification in caregiving required.
