*Job Overview* As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including hospice care, assisted living, dementia care. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for seniors and patients by supporting their daily activities and personal care needs. This position requires a dedicated individual who is committed to delivering high-quality patient care while fostering a safe and nurturing environment. *Responsibilities* - Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, and dressing for individuals with varying levels of independence. - Assist with mobility and transfers. - Support clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean living environment. - Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being. - Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals. - Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all safety protocols while providing care in compliance with relevant regulations. - Work collaboratively with other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive support for clients. *Skills* - Experience in hospice care, assisted living, dementia care, and senior care is highly desirable. - Strong caregiving skills with an emphasis on patient-centered support. - Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges. - Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare team members. - Compassionate and empathetic nature with a genuine desire to help others. - Basic knowledge of nursing practices may be beneficial.
