What We're Looking For
We're seeking a strong kitchen leader with a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for food and hospitality. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and is excited to grow within a high-quality, team-driven kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and service execution
- Lead and mentor BOH team members during prep and service
- Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes
- Maintain clean, organized stations and overall kitchen standards
- Assist with prep, ordering, inventory, and cost control
- Uphold all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
- Step into a leadership role during service and in the Head Chef's absence
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in a professional kitchen, including leadership or senior line roles
- Previous Sous Chef experience is an asset
- Culinary education or formal training is an asset
- Strong knife skills and solid understanding of cooking techniques
- Proven ability to lead calmly in a fast-paced environment
- Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Passionate about food, hospitality, and team development
