Job Summary

The Night Auditor is responsible for balancing and auditing the hotel's daily transactions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and providing excellent guest service during overnight hours. This role is a combination of front desk responsibilities and accounting duties, ensuring smooth overnight operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet, check-in, and check-out guests with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Balance all daily front desk postings and transactions.
  • Reconcile guest accounts and prepare end-of-day financial reports.
  • Verify all charges for rooms, food & beverage, and other services.
  • Maintain security of the hotel by monitoring the premises during the night shift.
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and issues promptly and courteously.
  • Set up breakfast or assist other departments as needed in early morning preparation.
  • Communicate with day staff regarding any issues or follow-ups required.
  • Ensure accurate posting of room charges and adjustments in the property management system (Visual Matrix experience is an asset).

Qualifications

  • Previous hotel or front desk experience preferred (training provided).
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working independently overnight.
  • Proficient with computers and hotel management software.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00 per hour
