The Big Picture
Reporting to the Facilities Director, the Facility Attendant will be the primary support for all buildings and facility-related tasks. The Attendant will perform repairs, preventive and corrective maintenance, and troubleshoot issues with the building systems to ensure facilities are operating safely and efficiently. The role also involves inspecting, repairing, and maintaining wiring, control components, and lighting systems within various facilities to ensure reliable operation and adherence to safety codes.
Your Impact Through Innovation
- Perform troubleshooting and corrective maintenance on electrical systems.
- Performing preventive maintenance, responding to equipment system malfunctions, using tools to diagnose and repair electrical issues, and adhering to relevant safety codes and facility standards.
- Check the maintenance X daily for open job cards.
- Prioritizing the job card that affects the H&S and the structure of the building.
- Ask for any information needed from the sender to meet the job requirements.
- Close the jobs promptly.
- Ensure that the percentage of closed jobs meets each month's performance reviews.
- Provides custodial and operational support when assigned.
- Inspects facilities and equipment; reports issues promptly; performs facility maintenance.
- Monitor and enforce rules, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain logs and records of activities using the maintain X software.
- Receives and responds to other parties' questions, concerns, and complaints.
- Assists with opening, closing, and securing facilities in compliance with policies and procedures.
- Participates in required training sessions, including safety drills and other emergency procedures; safely performs all work following policies and procedures.
- Works collaboratively with internal and external customers.
- Assists with special events as needed.
- Answer phone calls after working hours as required by contractors.
- Attend to the security calls and check the buildings via Avigilon as needed after hours.
- Have a clear list of equipment, parts and tools and participate in yearly audits.
- Required to travel between buildings to accommodate the job requirements, not more than 5 KM distance.

- Makes written reports of damages to equipment or facility.
- Some experience supervising the Elec, Mech, and HVAC systems.
- Good knowledge of dealing with 3rd party service providers.
- Can read and understand building drawings.
Your Unique Expertise
Required Skills:- Class I Building Environmental Systems (BES) Operator
- 3 years of relevant experience in a commercial, retail, or industrial environment, including working knowledge of electrical systems
- Valid Driver's License
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with various departments and diverse groups
- Flexibility with working hours to accommodate needs for after-hours maintenance services
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs and be physically fit.
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders
- Standard First Aid certificate
