Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, handle transactions efficiently, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. This role requires strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual skills and experience with retail sales or POS systems are highly valued. The Cashier will be responsible for processing payments accurately, assisting customers with inquiries, and supporting merchandising efforts to enhance store presentation.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping experience
  • Operate POS systems to process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision and integrity
  • Assist customers with product questions, product demos, and upselling opportunities
  • Maintain organized checkout areas and ensure proper merchandising at the register
  • Manage phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries
  • Support inventory management through basic stock replenishment and organization
  • Ensure compliance with company policies regarding cash handling and transaction procedures
  • Promote store promotions, new products, and sales initiatives to maximize sales opportunities
  • Uphold cleanliness and organization of the cashier station and surrounding areas

Skills

  • Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
  • Proficiency with POS systems and basic math for accurate cash handling
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Organizational skills to manage time effectively during shifts
  • Experience in retail sales, merchandising, or technical sales is advantageous
  • Knowledge of product demos and upselling techniques to enhance sales performance
  • Phone etiquette skills for engaging with customers over the phone or online inquiries
  • Multilingual capabilities are preferred to serve diverse customer bases
  • Basic understanding of technology sales or retail merchandising is beneficial

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.85 per hour
