Seeking a part time employee who will primarily work at the front cash, but assist with food preparation as needed. This will mostly be short shifts over supper of 3-5 hours. Typical start time would be either 3 or 4pm and run until between typically 7 and 10pm. Please note we are not currently assisting with Immigration at this time.

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Customer Service Representative to join our team in providing exceptional service to our customers. This role involves engaging with customers, managing transactions, and ensuring a positive dining or shopping experience. The ideal candidate will have a background in food service or restaurant operations, with strong communication and multitasking skills to handle various customer interactions effectively.

Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and assist with their orders in a timely manner
  • Operate POS systems and process payments
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
  • Prepare food items as needed, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Upsell menu items or products to enhance customer experience and increase sales
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas following food safety guidelines
  • Manage multiple tasks efficiently using strong time management skills
  • Assist in food preparation and serving, ensuring quality standards are met
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or food industry preferred
  • Knowledge of food preparation, handling, and sanitation procedures
  • Familiarity with POS systems is a plus
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
  • Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Kitchen experience or food industry background is advantageous
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism and friendliness
  • Prior experience in cashiering or serving roles is desirable

Job Type: Part-time
