Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Grill Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality grilled dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role requires a strong commitment to food safety, excellent cooking skills, and the ability to deliver exceptional food service to our guests. The Grill Cook will play a vital part in ensuring customer satisfaction through timely meal preparation and maintaining the highest standards of kitchen cleanliness and safety.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook grilled items such as steaks, burgers, chicken, and vegetables according to restaurant recipes and standards
  • Ensure all food is cooked to the proper temperature and presentation standards
  • Assist in food preparation tasks including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
  • Maintain cleanliness of the grill station and surrounding areas in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishing
  • Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene
  • Serve dishes promptly and courteously to guests, ensuring a positive dining experience
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional kitchen experience, with demonstrated proficiency in food preparation, cooking, and service standards in a restaurant setting.
  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service, preferably in a restaurant or food industry setting
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques
  • Strong skills in meal preparation, grilling techniques, and kitchen safety practices
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
  • Experience with food industry equipment such as grills, fryers, and ovens is preferred
  • Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is highly desirable
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as needed
