Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grill Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a strong understanding of food safety and preparation techniques. As a Grill Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality grilled items, ensuring that all meals are cooked to perfection and served promptly. Your expertise in the kitchen will contribute significantly to our restaurant's reputation for delicious food and exceptional service.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items on the grill, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Follow recipes and portion controls to maintain consistency in food preparation.
  • Monitor food temperatures and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill area, including equipment and utensils.
  • Assist in meal preparation by prepping ingredients as needed for other kitchen staff.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during peak hours.
  • Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food handling practices.
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines within the kitchen environment.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a grill cook or similar role within the food service or restaurant industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge of food handling, preparation, and safety standards is essential.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
  • A passion for cooking and delivering high-quality meals is highly valued.
