Kendrick Equipment, a well established company that sells and services municipal and industrial equipment, is looking for an Accounting Assistant to work closely with our Senior Accountant on transitioning, implementing and testing our new inventory software, Flyntlok.

This is a part-time (2 to 3 eight hour days/wk. with flexibility regarding which days you work), temporary (2-3 month) role that requires the individual to work in our Surrey office. This is not a work from home position.

The majority of your time will be to:

Assist with setting up the chart of accounts – expense accts, day to day entering transactions and replicating the information from the old software to the new software. Test and verify that the information is input accurately, all numbers match and the system is working properly.

Qualifications:

  • A degree or diploma in accounting (or working towards) and related work experience.
  • Minimum of two years' accounting experience including data entry and exposure to software implementations.
  • Must be proficient in QuickBooks On-line and Microsoft Excel to manage financial data effectively.
  • Computer savvy – comfortable navigating various computer programs.
  • Experience with new software implementation, preferably an inventory software.
  • Good understanding of inventory management.
  • Strong data entry, analytical skills and attention to detail are crucial for ensuring accuracy of financial records and reports during the transition and implementation.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Polished oral and written English communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and task driven.
  • Ability to work independently and with others.

As transit access to the office is limited, a vehicle is highly recommended.

The successful applicant will be selected based on their related experience with software transitions and implementation as well as their knowledge of inventory software and management. As well, they must be available immediately and be able to commit to a 2-3 month time-frame.

Contract length: 2-3 months

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
