Position (details)
We are seeking a detail-oriented Manager to join our team on a six-month contract (part time). This role focuses on supporting Quality Assurance (QA) reviews for our Residential Underwriting processes, ensuring compliance with internal standards and external investor/insurer requirements.

You will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of underwriting workflows, assisting with internal, investor or insurer audits, and ensuring alignment with regulatory and operational expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform risk-based QA reviews to identify potential gaps in underwriting processes that could lead to compliance or financial exposure.
  • Collaborate with risk and compliance teams to align QA processes with investor/insurer risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in preparing documentation and evidence for investor and insurer audits.
  • Track and report QA findings, ensuring timely remediation.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for QA and audit processes.
  • Analyze audit findings for risk implications, ensuring corrective actions address root causes and prevent recurrence.
  • Support the underwriting team as required.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years in QA, audit, or compliance roles within financial services or mortgage underwriting.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with residential mortgage underwriting processes and investor/insurer guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Language: Bilingual (French and English) required.
  • Proficiency in QA tools and MS Office Suite.

Knowledge of French and English is required to support clients and Team members within and/ or outside the province of Quebec.

The expected annual base salary range (prorated for the term) for this role is ($69,500- $100,500), which is determined based on geographic location and candidate's skills, knowledge and experience. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for paid time off (prorated for the term).
