Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada ConstructionClock App Full time

ConstructionClock

is an Automatic Time Tracking app that is transforming how construction companies manage time & attendance for their teams. Our app automatically clocks employees in and out of job sites using geo-locations — no more manual check-ins.

We are a fast-growing startup with a clear mission: To build the best tools that optimize the most valuable resource on every job site — TIME.

We are currently expanding our engineering team and looking for a detailed-oriented
QA Specialist

to help us ensure product quality and user satisfaction as we grow to 500,000 users in the next few years.

What You'll Bring:

  • Manual & Exploratory Testing:

Perform thorough manual, exploratory, and regression testing on our web and mobile (iOS & Android) applications to identify issues before they reach our users.
- Test Planning:

Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and use cases that ensure full coverage of new features and existing functionality.
- Defect Management:

Identify, document, and track defects in detail, providing clear steps to reproduce and constructive feedback to the development team.
- Collaboration:

Work closely with product managers, developers, and designers to understand requirements, define acceptance criteria, and advocate for quality earlier in the development cycle.
- Release Confidence:

Perform end-to-end regression and integration testing to ensure stability prior to releases.
- Process Improvement:

Contribute to improving our QA strategy, testing processes, and documentation best practices.
- Future Automation:

Assist in identifying areas where automation could be beneficial and, if skilled, contribute to basic automated test scripts.

Must Have Qualities

  • 4+ years of professional QA experience (Web and Mobile).
  • Strong experience with manual testing methodologies (functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing).
  • Experience testing native mobile applications (iOS & Android) and understanding mobile-specific constraints (location services, connectivity issues, battery usage).
  • Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Proficiency with bug tracking and project management tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an eye for pixel-perfect design details.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate bugs and risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.

Nice-To-Have Skills:

  • Automation Experience:

Familiarity with or interest in learning automation frameworks (Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or Playwright).
- API Testing:

Experience testing APIs using tools like Postman or REST Assured.
- Technical Knowledge:

Familiarity with SQL for database validation or reading application logs (e.g., Datadog, Sentry) to help debug issues.
- CI/CD:

Basic understanding of version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.

What We Offer:

  • Hybrid work model with flexible remote days.
  • A collaborative and innovative startup culture where your ideas matter.
  • Modern tech stack and a product with real-world impact.
  • Competitive salary based on experience.
  • Paid time off + employee stock options.
