The Role
Join our team as a
Recreation Therapy Aide
and play a key role in enhancing the lives of seniors You will be responsible for planning and facilitating a variety of recreational, social, and therapeutic programs tailored to the unique needs and abilities of our residents. If you're passionate about working with seniors and making a meaningful impact through engaging activities, we'd love to hear from you

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate engaging recreation programs for residents, promoting physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Assist with seasonal events and special outings, creating memorable experiences for residents.
  • Document participation and maintain accurate records, ensuring residents' progress is tracked effectively.
  • Prepare and post program notices and calendars, keeping residents and families informed.
  • Provide therapeutic one-on-one visits under the guidance of the Director of Recreation Therapy.
  • Report residents' progress to the Director, ensuring timely documentation into clinical records.
  • Supervise and support volunteers, ensuring smooth program delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team, fostering a positive and supportive environment.
  • Take on cross-functional duties as needed, including assisting with feeding.

Who We're Looking For
Education & Experience:

  • Certification as a Recreation Therapy Aide (or equivalent certification).
  • Experience in Long-Term Recreation Therapy is highly desirable.
  • Food Safe Handling Certificate.
  • First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Supportive Pathway training.
