Our team is made up of diverse individuals who bring unique skills and perspectives, and we're looking for someone who is excited to contribute to our vibrant culture.Position Summary
We are seeking an ambitious and technically minded Senior Manager of Ecommerce Product & Initiatives to drive the digital strategy and execution for our online business. This is a high-impact role with a clear mandate: own the customer experience, accelerate sales, and lead the relaunch of our primary Ecommerce site, slated for 2026.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a proven track record of shipping products and features, and is eager to jump into a transformation project from the ground up. This role reports directly to the Director of Ecommerce and is viewed as a critical role.
This is a unique opportunity to lead a site transformation that will define the next decade of our online business. You will be given immediate ownership over a high-visibility project (the 2026 relaunch) and will be empowered to introduce cutting-edge technologies like AI. For an individual looking to accelerate their career into a Director-level role, this is the perfect stage to demonstrate leadership, technical capability, and strategic vision.
- Lead the 2026 Site Relaunch: Serve as the product owner and project lead for the full-scale migration and redesign of the core eCommerce platform, ensuring the new site is scalable, customer-centric, and optimized for conversion.
- UX/UI Overhaul: Drive significant improvements to the customer experience, including developing new site wireframes, collaborating on design mockups, and prioritizing user stories for core flows (e.g., navigation, search, checkout).
- Future-Proofing: Research, scope, and introduce advanced strategic initiatives, such as incorporating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) for personalized experiences, improved search functionality, and predictive merchandising.
- Quick Wins & CRO: Identify, prioritize, and execute "low-hanging fruit" projects that immediately drive value.
- Technical Liaison: Act as the primary bridge between the business stakeholders (Marketing, Operations) and technical teams (internal IT and external development partners). Translate business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- System Navigation: Successfully navigate and manage projects within existing, complex legacy systems, finding innovative solutions.
- Performance Monitoring: Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for all digital initiatives, focusing on driving revenue, improving conversion rates, and increasing customer satisfaction.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in eCommerce, Product Management, or Digital Strategy, ideally with a background in complex B2C or B2B/C environments.
- Relaunch Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience in leading or playing a critical role in major website replat forms or large-scale digital transformation projects.
- Technical Acumen: Ability to speak fluently to both business drivers and technical constraints (APIs, integrations, data structures). Prior experience working with or managing system integrators is a strong plus.
- Customer Focus: Deep passion for improving the customer journey and experience, backed by knowledge of UX principles and A/B testing methodologies.
- Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and present compelling business cases to senior leadership.
- Mindset: Excited by the challenge of working within existing systems while simultaneously building the next-generation solution.
Impactful Work: Lead a high-visibility ecommerce transformation, shaping Chatters' digital customer experience and helping deliver meaningful, personalized online journeys.
Growth & Development: Work with cutting-edge ecommerce, AI, and analytics technologies, with opportunities to expand your technical expertise and advance into senior leadership roles as the business grows.
Collaborative Culture: Join a values-driven organization that champions innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement, and collaborate cross-functionally with passionate teams across the business.
Competitive Perks: Enjoy comprehensive compensation, RRSP employer contributions, and exclusive discounts on Chatters products and services.
