The Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement, IT Division, is responsible for delivering IT services for all of the Government related to IT Infrastructure, application support, data management and reporting, IT project delivery, and IT strategic planning.

The Architecture & Planning Branch has a challenging opportunity for a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills for a permanent position as a Senior Business Analyst.

Reporting to the Manager, Architecture, the Senior Business Analyst is responsible for:

• Assisting and supporting the Architecture team in solution design, technology planning, and standards development
• Supporting the technical governance boards providing design documentation reviews and conducting process audits
• Performing detailed analysis and reporting on technology and application assets
• Working collaboratively with Enterprise and Solution Architects, Ministries, various ITD Teams and external partners to achieve successful project outcomes
• Gathering and documenting detailed business requirements alongside Architects during Use Case building and planning phases to ensure that new and existing commission systems meet established standards
• Coordinating reviews and approvals of policies and standards
• Administration of the Architecture Repository and Technical Governance sites
• Providing assistance to the Business Relationship Managers in the support and administration of the Client Engagement Hub (D365 implementation).

You will have knowledge of:

The ideal candidate will be an experienced business analyst who is a critical thinker and problem solver, with strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills. You will have experience gathering and documenting detailed business requirements, developing test cases, and executing IT systems testing. You will be comfortable leading initiatives as well as contributing to team efforts.

Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be attained through the completion of a degree in Computer Science, a Business Analyst certification (such as CCBA, CBAP, etc.), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge of Information Technology frameworks and methodologies, including Business Analysis, Process Mapping, Project Management, IT Service Management, and Enterprise Architecture frameworks.

Experience with SharePoint Online, D365, ServiceNow or Azure DevOps would be seen as an asset.
