12 month contract (extension possible)

Salary: $120K–$150K CAD + 4% vacation pay depending on experience

Full-time schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM

I'm working with a global industrial client that's looking for an experienced Senior MEP Specialist to join their project delivery team on a 12-month contract, with a strong possibility of extension. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of largest construction in the area at 370 acres (150 hectares).

This is an on-site position in St. Thomas, Ontario, leading the mechanical and electrical construction for a major industrial facility. The role focuses on complex, high-spec environments, including clean and dry rooms where precision, safety, and air quality standards are critical.

You'll act as the key link between engineering, construction, and design teams — reviewing BIM models and drawings, spotting design clashes early, managing contractors, and making sure all systems meet project specs and safety codes.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Leading all on-site mechanical and electrical construction activities
  • Reviewing designs, BIM models, and technical drawings for clean and dry room systems
  • Coordinating with architects, engineers, and contractors to solve design and build issues
  • Overseeing installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC, piping, and electrical systems
  • Managing costs, schedules, and quality control across MEP trades
  • Ensuring all work meets safety codes and environmental standards
  • Preparing site reports and progress documentation

You should have:

  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (P.Eng. preferred)
  • 5+ years' experience managing MEP construction, ideally in cleanroom, dry room, automotive, or industrial settings
  • Strong understanding of air handling, pressurization, filtration, and environmental control systems
  • Experience working with contractors on large-scale installations and equipment commissioning
  • Familiarity with CAD, BIM, and project scheduling tools
  • Strong knowledge of construction codes, safety standards, and quality assurance
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills
