Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Flatbed
Must be experienced FlatbedTruck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight and goods across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and efficient delivery. The position offers opportunities to work with heavy equipment and develop skills in automotive repair and forklift operation, contributing to the smooth functioning of our logistics operations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate trucks and commercial vehicles to deliver freight to designated locations
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip
- Assist in securing freight properly for transportation
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during operations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients regarding delivery schedules and issues
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience in freight transportation and commercial driving preferred
- Ability to operate forklifts and heavy equipment safely (certification is a plus)
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics is advantageous
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling
- Ability to operate heavy machinery such as forklifts when required
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to adhere to schedules
- Physical ability to lift, load, and unload freight regularly
- Prior experience with automotive repair or troubleshooting is a plus
This role is essential for maintaining efficient logistics operations, ensuring timely deliveries, and upholding safety standards across all transportation activities.
