Job Opportunity: Join the Paisano's Italian Garden Cafe Family

Location: 116 Willowdale Ave, North York

Paisano's Italian Garden Cafe, a beloved North York establishment, is seeking passionate and experienced individuals to join our front-of-house team. We are currently hiring for both Part-Time and Full-Time positions for Servers and Host/Hostesses.

1. Experienced Servers (Full-Time & Part-Time)

We are looking for polished, energetic, and professional servers who can deliver a truly authentic and memorable Italian dining experience.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of serving experience in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant environment.
  • Proven familiarity with serving Italian food, including a working knowledge of classic dishes and ingredients (e.g., pasta names, sauces, regional specialties).
  • Essential Wine Knowledge: Must be comfortable describing, suggesting, and serving common Italian and international wines (e.g., varietals, food pairings, proper service etiquette).
  • Mandatory Bar Knowledge: Proficiency in preparing standard cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Server Responsibilities Include:

  • Greeting guests, presenting menus, and informing them of daily specials.
  • Accurately taking food and beverage orders and entering them into the POS system.
  • Delivering food and beverages in a timely manner.
  • Handling guest payment transactions efficiently.

2. Host/Hostess (Experienced)

We are looking for an organized, welcoming, and detail-oriented Host/Hostess who understands that the guest's first impression is key. This role requires someone who is not afraid of multi-tasking and pitching in with various duties.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a Host/Hostess role is required.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing reservations, seating charts, and walk-ins.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and professional appearance.
  • A proactive, "team-player" attitude.

Host/Hostess Responsibilities Include:

  • Warmly greeting and seating guests according to the seating plan.
  • Managing the flow of the dining room and handling reservation requests.
  • Actively supporting the service team by performing side duties:
  • Bussing tables quickly and efficiently.
  • Polishing cutlery and glassware.
  • Performing light cleaning duties to maintain a pristine dining environment.
  • Restocking necessary items.
